Donating to the Clearwater & District Hospice

The Clearwater and District Hospice Society is exceptionally grateful for the community’s support through donations and fundraising campaigns. The Hospice Society receives some funding from Interior Health, covering 50% of the Society’s costs. This funding helps to pay for the one 16-hour per month position, covering the administration, secretarial and treasury work needed by the Hospice Society. All other donated funds, such as direct donations, fundraising, and ongoing contributions from individuals in the community, cover all other Hospice Society operational expenses. These expenses include rent for our office, education, equipment for the palliative room (TV, Bed, CADD pump), cell phone, and gift baskets for the clients who use the hospice palliative room.

Fundraising Events

Fundraising events are another way to donate to the Hospice Society. Our main event is the annual memory tree taking place in November and December. Memory Cards can be purchased in November and personalized with the name of the loved one you would like to donate in memory of. The Cards are then hung on the Memory Tree on display in the Clearwater Lodge for the entire month of December.
