Hospice Volunteers

All hospice volunteers are people from the community. Each volunteer must have a criminal record check completed prior to engaging in any activity within the society. All volunteers have ongoing support for education and supervision. The members follow the volunteer standards and competency framework created by the BC Centre for Palliative Care. The Interior Health confidentiality policy is followed for all involvement in the hospice room and the community.
